Birthday Balloons @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

our newest Girlfriend, Imke, is up for her premiere hosted challenge and she wants to see birthday balloons. How fun! I went thought about a few different concepts for this one but in the end I went with what I like best to do.....(Okay, sidebar.  Upon proofreading the preceding sentence, I realized it ain't right.  But seeing as that's pretty much how the went thought went I thought I'd leave it as is.)

....a coloured digi, some paper piecing, and lots of (maybe too busy??) patterned paper.  Digi is from Pernilla Nilsson.  Have to admit, I'm a bit smitten with the pom pom.  (:  I'm also slightly flabbergasted that the paper piecing worked out so perfectly.  Not usually how my things in my life go, but I'll take it.

Why not give our challenge a go this week and head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up?  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

  6. I went thought about it and...this card is fabulous! Really, I love the patterned paper mix (you nailed it). After all, why be boring when you can be fab?! And yeah, you got that paper piecing spot on there, my friend; that star is dead center. Oh, and the pom-pom, well, how can a body NOT like a pom-pom? I think there's a law somewhere against that.

Okay, so ever since I started my blog (well, maybe not right from the get-go, it was probably a good six months or so before I realized you could change it from just "Leave your comment") I've tried to come up with something witty to type here.

*sitting with brow furrowed in concentration*...*staring at the ceiling while pursing lips*...*resting with head on hand while tapping foot*...

Nope, I still got nothing.
