Christmas In July! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Imke's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Christmas In July", which means she wants to see those Christmas/Winter Holiday projects.

This is what I did....

So, that's the outside (which won't centre align, for some reason)....And this is the first inside....

....and this is the second inside.

I'm doubting anyone would remember this but.....A couple of months ago, LRW had a fun folds challenge and I said I had made a different card for that challenge that I felt wasn't particularly worthy for hosting duties of said challenge.  Welp, this is that card, with the finishing touches added.

Like I said, not completely thrilled with how this turned out.  First of all, it's quite a bit bigger what I like to make card....it's 6"w to accommodate the Merry Christmas cut from patterned paper.  And, as you can see, when you open the first layer, you get a really good view of the fact that I used different coloured pop dots, and the glue line to fasten the acetate is visible.  It is what it is, I guess.  Santa digi is from Make It Crafty (no longer in business) while the presents digi is from...well, shoot.  I can't find it in my digi folder right now.  I'll look later and come back to update when I find it.

So, why not give our challenge a go this week and join us?  And, if you'd like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.

  1. I LOVE this. The papers are wonderful and that Santa is one of my favorites (not to mention the perfect coloring of all elements). I am thrilled with the way this turned out. Hope life is getting a bit less hectic for you.

  2. Well I think it's a great card!!! You're picking the fly poop out of the pepper, my friend. I guarantee you whoever is fortunate enough to receive this card will just be overwhelmed by its awesomeness and won't think anything at all of the little things you've pointed out. Heck, who wants a 'perfect' card anyway?! The imperfection of making them by hand is what it's all about.

  6. As Guest Designer for Creative Creases, thank you for entering the Secret Stamper's challenge. What's not to love about that plaid! I made this fun fold in June and you can see on my link how I handled that acetate and what showed through to the other side. Hope this is a help in the future. https://karenscardkorner.blogspot.com/2022/06/stampin-up-natures-prints-fun-fold-any.html

Okay, so ever since I started my blog (well, maybe not right from the get-go, it was probably a good six months or so before I realized you could change it from just "Leave your comment") I've tried to come up with something witty to type here.

*sitting with brow furrowed in concentration*...*staring at the ceiling while pursing lips*...*resting with head on hand while tapping foot*...

Nope, I still got nothing.
