Halloween! @ Little Red Wagon

 This week at

it's Doni's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Halloween!"  Of course, that just means that she wants to see those Halloween projects.

This is what I did.....

Look!  It's not a card!  It's a witch's hat clip/pin!  Don't mind the cat, I borrowed it from my Halloween display to model the hat to show its pinning capabilities.  Plus, I find this perspective amusing...I'm thinking that some of you might be wondering just how big that hat really is.....like could one wear it??  Naw, it's about the size of a regular clothespin....as that's what inside actually is.  I got inspiration for it here.  I used some fuzzy fun foam rather than paper and then just dressed it up.  Gonna add it to my Halloween banner for a little extra silliness.  (:

Why not give our challenge a go this week and head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up?  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

Things Beginning With B @ Little Red Wagon

 This week at

it's Imke's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying she wants to see "things that start with B" on your makes.  There's tons of things that start with B so you shouldn't have any problem.  Here, let me show you.....

Alrighty, let's count them out.....there's a brown bear with a black nose batting balloons from a blue box wearing a blue birthday hat.  On this birthday themed card I've used the sentiment Birthday Bear as well as a bow and a button.  Oh, and to top it all off......this digi is an old one from Birdie Brown (who is no longer selling digis).  Somebody bestow upon me a bronze badge of brownie points - bimmediately!

It's Magical! @ Little Red Wagon

 This week at

it's Kate's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "It's Magical!" which just mean that she would like to see those projects that have to do magic or fantasy.

This is what I did.....

I made a baby girl card with this sweet fairy from Mo's Digital Pencil.  It's hard to tell in the photo but all those dots on the wings and around the wee skirt have Stickles on them.  After all, is a fairy even a fairy without some sparkle?

Alrighty, my friends, I've got to tell you about this thing that happened when I was making this card.  First of all, let me just say that I adore Mo's images.  I think she's an amazing artist and I will fight anyone who says otherwise.  Okay, so, when I do any paper piecing for digis, I don't print the whole image out again, I crop it just to the section I'm paper piecing.  I mean, it only makes sense, right?  Why use the extra ink, and the extra paper when it's not needed?  Making this card was no different.  I cropped the image so it was just basically the skirt left and set it to print out.  It wasn't until I had the purple patterned paper in my hand that I noticed.  My immediate reaction was a muttered,

Oh MY.

My next reaction was some forceful snickering because sometimes my humour level is on par with an eight year old boy who loves fart jokes.

Not seeing it?  Just take your hand and cover up sweet lil Punky from just below her wrists to the top of her head.  Yeppers, you got it.

Now, when you're done either snickering or rolling your eyes at my childishness, why not give our challenge a go this week and head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up?  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

Best Hockey Card Ever @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

Okay, I need to tell you a bit about how this challenge theme came about. As many of you will know, when you're part of a challenge blog, challenge themes are often set weeks in advance, that way DT Members can work ahead if they choose. I have the challenges in an Excel file so I can better keep track of them. I am a rampant keep-every-tab-I've-ever-opened open, so the Excel file is often just floating around open on the computer. When I went to fill in the my last few challenge themes for the year, I noticed that last week's challenge was already filled in with the following: make the best hockey card ever.  Obviously, my middlest had spied the file and decided to add his own theme.  I shared this with The Girlfriends, and Brenda thought it was pretty darn cute and funny so she decided to go with it for this week's challenge.  She's extending it to any sport, so you don't need to stick with hockey.  Score!

This is what I did....

I made four mini cards with a sports theme.  I used a very old Unity Stamp set that I bought about ten years ago.
