Rocket! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Kate's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Rocket!" which means she would like to see projects featuring space or the sky.

This is what I did....

I went with lots of stars for this.  And a lot of gold, in the form of foiling and mirror cardstock (which I got an entire pad of different colours from Dollarama - score!).  Here's a closeup of the foiling....

Foiling really does give cards that extra pffffshhhhhhaptwhaaa doesn't it?  (Pffffshhhhhhaptwhaa is me making a firework type sound, with included hand and body movements as I decided the word pizzazz just wasn't 'zazzy enough.)  Digi sentiment is from Create With Tlc.

Why not give our challenge a go this week and join us?  And, if you'd like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.

Put It In Neutral! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Put It In Neutral!" which means she wants to see those projects using neutral colours.  Think white, black, kraft, brown etc.

This is what I did.....

No stamping on this one, just die cuts and a sentiment typed in Word.  We're just gonna ignore the little drips of pink on there.  Honestly, I didn't notice how prominent they are until I saw the photo.  Of course, mentioning them makes them that much more prominent, and saying to ignore something also makes it stand out more.....but I need you to know that I know that bit of pink is cheating a wee bit.  There, I feel better.  (:

Sparkle & Shine! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's my turn to choose the challenge and I'm going with one of my faves...."Sparkle & Shine!".  So, anything with glitter, foil, mirror, the sun, stars, bling....lots of different options!

This is what I did....

And the money shot....

As you can see, I've got more than a bit of Stickles on there, along with some sparkly enamel dots.

Digi is from Melonheadz Illustrating.  I've always loved this digi, but I've never used it because.....well....you most definitely want it to go to someone who has a good sense of humour and/or someone who is really skinny, so it doesn't end up looking like an insult, iykwim.  Reason I was able to use it now was because it will go into a Christmas basket, which will be one of about 17 baskets that 17 people will choose for themselves.  That way, if a basket-recipient does not find this card humourous, they can pick a different one instead.  (:

Make It Masculine! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Chrissy's turn to choose the challenge and she's going with a favourite of mine, "Make It Masculine!".  Now how you make it "masculine" is completely up to your interpretation.  It doesn't necessarily have to be for someone male, or have an image of a boy/man.  Masculine to you might mean bold or dark colours.  It might mean clean lines.  Or maybe you've made a card for a special "he" who loves pink and flowers.  It's all good.  (:

This is what I did....

I love this reindeer from Tiddly Inks.  A lot of the masculine themed cards I make are heavy on the brown.  No exception with this one.  Clean lines, and some vehicle patterned paper, all = masculine in my book.  Not that I have an actual "masculine book", of course.  (-;
