Regal & Royal @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Kate's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Regal & Royal" which just means that she would like to see projects about royalty and all things medieval and the like....so think princes & princesses and other royal family members, knights, castles.....and I'll bet you could even sneak in a dragon if you wanted. Kate's pretty cool, I think she'd count it.

No dragons here, but this is what I did.....

Look at that lovely royal princess. She's from Lori Boyd, who hasn't had any new digis for awhile but I do believe all her previous ones are still available.  I do love her images.  I even got nostalgic and coloured her up like my little princess.....though if she read this I'm sure she'd roll her eyes and not much appreciate the "princess" moniker.  She's fierce, my daughter is, so more like a princess who saves herself than one from the fairy tale story books.  And that's a-okay with me.

Hey, check out those glittery die cut flowers.  Die cut is from Your Next Stamp, which is really cool in itself, but what I really want to point out is that GLITTER FUN FOAM that I got from Dollarama.  How awesome is that?  Cuts like butter too.  And, the most wonderful part, is when I suddenly realized that it's GOT ADHESIVE BACKING!!  And not only does it have adhesive backing, it's actually good adhesive backing so no bit of gluing to shore it up was even required - score!

Damsel In Distress @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Damsel In Distress" which is an awesome way to let us know that she would like to see projects with distressing on them.

This is what I did.....

Well, as you can see I didn't use a damsel....well at least not in the traditional sense of the word anyways.  Actually, it might not be a damsel at all, it could be a boy giraffe bringing flower to his chosen suitor.  Well, it really doesn't matter if it's a he or she, they sure are cute!  Digi is from A Day For Daisies.  And, I've got some frayed edges on my paper, frayed edges on my fabric and some inked edges for the distressing bit.

Digi Do! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's yours truly's turn to choose the challenge and I went with a super duper easy one.....well easy for me anyways....and I'm saying, "Digi Do!" which just means that I want to see a digi, digital stamp, on your project. And as you know, I love me a digi!

This is what I did.....

Squeege! Isn't this lil guy just the cutest?!? He reminds me a lot of my middlest back in the day, he does. Probably helps that I coloured him up to look like him too.  He's from Mo's Digital Pencil.

Welp, after about three minutes of trying to think of something else to say, it's pretty clear I've got nuthin!  Makes me a bit sad, I used to love to make long, rambling posts about not much in particular but nowadays I'm usually out of time.....and sadly boring to boot!  I don't mind boring, actually I prefer it.....but it makes it hard to come up with anything to say.  Fingers crossed for my next post.  (:

Thankful For You @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Heather's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Thankful For You" which just means that she wants to see those thank you cards. Love that this challenge is coming just after Thanksgiving too.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, you guys, I made a most delicious dessert for it.....Caramel Pumpkin Poke Cake. It doesn't look fancy, but I long ago realized that the looks/presentation of food meant NOTHING to my brood so now I don't worry about it all. No fancy layered cakes, a 9 x 13 pan will do just fine. No beautiful drizzled syrups or fruit decorations, you want 'em, here's the bottle and the raspberries are in the fridge. So, that means desserts tend to be fairly easy....and this certainly fell into that category. Recipe is here if you'd like to take a look or give it a try. My famjam loved it, they are already requesting it for next Thanksgiving.

Okay, enough about Thanksgiving, it's card time.  And, just to tie it in with the above paragraph, I made a card featuring something that would (probably) go quite well with Caramel Pumpkin Poke Cake.....

I say probably because latte is coffee and coffee is bleck.  But, latte puns go well with EVERYTHING.  Digi was a past freebie from Tiddly Inks.

Stencil It! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Imke's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Stencil It!" which just means that she'd like to see a stencil used.

Now, when stencils were all the rage a couple of years ago or so, I'll admit to buying a few.....though I really shouldn't've. They didn't make me better at making inked backgrounds, nor did they make me use non-patterned paper backgrounds any more often. I do really wish I was good at them though, there are some stunning creations out there that have used stencils in their making.

A good segue here would be: Now speaking of stunning creations....but.....bwahahahahahahahahaha! I think I'll stick with something more fitting: So, here's a card....

As you can see, I used a stencil to make a wallpaper-look.  I dunno....I find this card a bit flat.  Oh well, sometimes that's how it goes.  Digi is from Mo's Digital Pencil.

Fall Inspiration @ Tiddly Inks

This month at

we've got a colour challenge for you! This is what it looks like....

Very autumnal!  And this is what I did with it.....

This was one of those times it looked better in my head.  It just seems to be a bit lacking, kwim?  I think if the die cut thank you could have picked up more colour that would have helped.

Hey, guess what?  This image was a past Tiddly freebie, and it's been made available again - yay!  (And I'm going to pretend that was the plan all along not that I, yet again for I think about the sixth time, boneheadedly used a freebie or a yet unreleased digi or a retired image for a challenge. D'oh!)  So, you can pop over to the challenge blog and snag it if you missed it the first time it was offered.

Why not grab a Tiddly Inks image, (even the free ones count!) and join us for the challenge?  And be sure to  check out the fabulousness the DT has come up with.

Also for:

Alphabet Challenge:  N is for nature
Crafty Catz:  colours of autumn
4 Crafty Chicks:  happy fall y'all
Moving Along With the Times:  fall

Crafty Gals:  anything fall goes
The Sisterhood of Crafters:  fall is in the air
As You Like It:  favourite season - My fave season is fall.  The humidity of summer is gone, but we've not yet been subjected to the freezing coldness of winter, I love the way the air smells....and pumpkin is in EVERYTHING!
