it's my turn to choose the challenge and I'm going with one of my favourites, and an easy-peasy one for me...."Digi Do!" which just means that I want to see a digi stamp on your creations. Tons and tons of options for this one, including lots and lots and loads of freebies out there. So there's no excuse not to join in!
Okay, Blogland, before I get to the card I gotsta tell you a story (because I like to pretend that at least some of you come here for the conversation as well as the creations). The other day I drove from Job Sucks-A^& to Job I Love Why Can't It Be More Than Approx Six Hours A Week, which is about a 35-40 minute drive. (For any UK readers....that's a completely normal commute to.....well, anywhere here in Mid-Western Ontario.) Stopped at Timmies on my way (for any non-Canadian readers, that's Tim Hortons) for a large tea and a lil Timbit snackie. So, by the time I got to JILWCIBMTASHAW, I had to use the facilities fairly urgently. I usually have my phone shoved in my back pocket, and I realized I forgot to drop it in my office like I normally would do. Now, even though my office is just steps from the washroom, I didn't have the time to take it back in there. And, as we all know, leaving your phone in your back pocket in this situation means it's definitely gonna fall out.....if you're lucky it hits the floor, if not.....well, splash.
Normally I'd just set it on the sink, but, of course, in this time of Covid, I don't like to set my phone down on anything so public, so I did what I would imagine most of us women would do in this situation - I shoved it in my bra. As I was taking care of business, I realized I could hear a noise. A ringing noise. I figured it was just a phone from one of the nearby offices......but why did it sound so clear??
Then I suddenly realized what was going on. My boob was making a phone call.
I'll admit to panicking a bit....and fumbling ineffectually for more than a bit. Then I heard a "hello".
I tell you, my friends, there's a completely different level of WTF your brain spirals into when you hear your 19 year old son's voice coming out of your bra. For his sake I didn't tell him who was actually ringing him, I just reminded him that I wouldn't be home for supper. And then I made a metal note to make sure my screen was off the next time I was in this situation. Never know when Rightie might be feeling chatty again.
It would take me a month to try to figure out a segue from that so I'll just say.....here's my card.....
Digi is from Bugaboo Stamps. They were some of the first stamps I ever owned and I have a large collection of them, not only because they're awesome, but because they offer freebies every Friday. Ten years of crafting + freebies every Friday = A LOT of fantastic Bugaboo digis.
Decided to leave this sans-sentiment so I could be good for just about anything. Always nice to have a few of those cards in the stash.
Why don't you give our challenge a go this week and head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up? And, while you're there, be sure to check out the fabulous projects the other Girlfriends have created.
