Ghosts & Goblins (Or Not) @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's my turn to set the challenge and I went with "Ghosts & Goblins (Or Not)". Just a fancy way of saying anything Halloween!

This is what I did.....

I went sweet and spooky.  Digi is from Dilly Beans and the moon and bat were cut from some ancient patterned paper.  Bit of sewing and Halloween card # 3 (scroll down to see #1 & #2) for child # 2 was done-zos.

So why not make something up for Halloween and join us for our challenge?  Then you can head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up.  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

Spooky Dooky @ Tiddly Inks

For the next two weeks at

we've got an easy one for you. We want to see your Halloween makes!

This is what I did.....

I used Spooky Birthday, one of my favourite Tiddly images.  Perfect for any Halloween parties or Halloween/Birthday parties.  Doncha love that little witch charm?  I certainly do anyways!  I only have one left but I'm done with Halloween makes so I'll be able to pull it out next year.  And then I might actually completely use up a crafting supply!  Except for the essentials, you know like tape runner or blades etc. I don't think I've ever used up something completely.  I might have to hold onto the empty baggie for awhile just to prove to myself it can be done.

So why not pull out your Halloween supplies, and a Tiddly Inks image, and enter the challenge?  And be sure to also check out the fabulousness the DT has come up with.

Include a Pumpkin @ Melonheadz Friends

For the next two weeks at

http://melonheadzfriends.blogspot.ca/

we're still celebrating fall and Halloween. And this time 'round we want you to use a pumpkin on your projects.

This is what I did.....

Can't say I didn't give it my all for this challenge.  I'm thinking there's about 42 pumpkins on there.  I used an image from the Pumpkinheadz bundle.  I've linked you to the combo pack so you can get both the black & white AND coloured images.

So why not make something and include that orange veggie that we all love and then enter the challenge? And be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has made.

My Wagging Tail - Fab Friday @ Tiddly Inks

Hello, dear Readers!  Well, it's Friday yet again so it's time for a Tiddly make.  I did something a bit different from my norm.....

Look, ma, no patterned paper!  And it's pretty durn cas compared to what I usually do.  I used the new Mini and Many Friends digi set.  It was available as a clear stamp set but I pestered Christy enough that she made it into a digi as well.  Thanks, Christy!!

It's funny.....I bugged Christy to make this set in digital form but then do you think I could successfully create something with it?  I coloured up three of the other digis in the set and I failed at all of them.  Isn't that just the way of the world sometimes?  Glad I got something completed, would have felt like a real dope if after all the asking I couldn't create anything.

Make sure you go check out the other fabulous Fabby Friday makes the rest of the DT has come up with.  You can see 'em right here.

Home Is Where the Heart Is @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Joanne's turn to host the challenge and she's saying that, "Home is where the heart is." Now since I already rambled on about that saying about this time last year I'm just gonna leave it alone and let you know that she wants to see a house on your project.

I did something a little different....

I upcycled a past Christmas card I was given. I had kept it as I really liked the picture and it turned out to be perfect for this challenge.

Isn't that crocheted snowflake awesome?  I almost didn't get to use it though.  See, out of the package it's actually really, really, blindingly white.  And that just didn't go with the rest of the card.  I was sitting at my craft desk trying to come up with something to do that would make it less white when I heard my husband making himself a coffee, and *ding*, light bulb moment.  When I first walked into the kitchen I thought about just tossing the embelli into his mug of coffee seeing as I don't really care for coffee, or my husband for that matter, (*snicker, snort*  Couldn't resist that set up.) but I decided I'd be nice and went and got a little dish and spooned some out.  Then it was just a matter of sopping up some of the coffee with the snowflake until it looked much less white.  It stinks like coffee now but seeing as I doubt the recipient is going to be sticking the card up to their nose it's probably okay.

So why not grab a house or home from your stash and join us for our challenge?  Then you can head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up.  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

Gettin' Halloweenie

Hold onto your hats.....wait I'm guessing the majority of you aren't wearing hats right now.  Oh, this is better....Hold onto your socks, my friends, as I've got a post that's not a DT post.  Last time I did that was back in.....holy smokes....March.  See, I wanted to show you sumthin......

I actually decorated for Halloween. Have never really done that before because I am CHEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAPPPPPPP and I generally won't spend money on something like decorations, especially for a holiday I'm not particularly fond of. But it all started with seeing that fab haunted house with a decent price discount due to the fact that the back is damaged, and then finding that Trick Or Treaters Are Welcome sign for $5 and then spying those Potions & Spells and Spells & Potions salt & pepper shakers,  (Get it?  Potions & Spells for pepper and Spells & Potions for salt, isn't that just awesome?!?!) and I love me cool salt & pepper shakers.  And omg, Granny's Broom Repairs?  Who could resist?  The other signs are neat too....but more 'coz I needed something to balance everything out than anything else.

And, since this is my banner hanging shelf (I also have Merry Christmas, Easter, Happy Birthday and Thanksgiving banners) I decided that I of course had to make a Halloween banner too.

Here's a closer up....

I took a bit of flak from my middlest for just going with Spooky rather than Happy Halloween.  But doing eight less banner pieces sounded good to me.  Speaking of my middlest, he was supposed to be going to bed when I was making this but thought that if he could stay up for ten minutes more he "could go to sleep way easier" so he decided to help by turning the Cuttlebug handle for die cutting the circles and scalloped circles.  He was funny about it too.....each time I popped a shape out of the die he was saying "Oh, look at the good cut" with genuine pride.  Thanks, buddy.  Don't know if I could have gotten it made without you.  :-)

Tags @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

the challenge is tags. So we want to see either tags on your project or just a tag.

Now, if you've been hangin' with me for any length of time you'll know that I hate tags. (Sorry, Heather!)  I once thought I'd make my own tags for Christmas presents and they were sooooooooooooo hideous that I didn't even use them here at our house. But.....I don't mind little itty bitty tags. You know, like this.....

Man, you wouldn't believe the trouble I had while making this.....at 11:30 last night. I might have given up and quit if I didn't need a baby card anyways. My Silhouette was acting up....it wouldn't read the registration marks for a bit, I had a piece of cardstock do that intimate dance it does with the blade when it comes unstuck from the mat so I had to re-cut, my scallop punch (which is very dull, I know) got a piece of paper so jammed in it that it locked solid and is unusable....and adding to that when I was writing my post I yawned so voraciously I almost fell out of my chair and my spelling was so atrocious that a couple times Spellcheck was all like, "Sorry, dude. I got nothing."

But, in the end I do like the card, so it's all good. (At least I think I like it. I could just be so tired that it looks good now but in the morning I might be all, "Ewwwww! Omg, now what?  Edited to add:  I still like it, yay!)

So why not get all taggy and join us for our challenge?  Then you can head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up.  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

Fall Colours @ Tiddly Inks

For the next two weeks at

we're celebrating fall, with fall colours that is!

This is what I did....

I used Wryn Swinging By and coloured her up in fall colours with fall paper to match.  Fall-tastic!  *snort*  (Except for the tree.  My colouring job on the tree is definitely not something to celebrate....eesh.)

So why not pull out those reds, oranges, greens and browns and a Tiddly Inks image and enter the challenge? And be sure to also check out the fabulousness the DT has come up with.

Harvest or Halloween @ Melonheadz Friends

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian peeps.  Mmmmm....turkey and all things pumpkin.....

Now back to your regularly scheduled post.....

For the next two weeks at

http://melonheadzfriends.blogspot.ca/

we want to see a project that's about either Harvest or Halloween. No problem!

This is what I did.....

I went with Harvest, obviously.  Unless you find cute boys sitting on bales in the corn spooky (ahem, Children of the Corn, ahem) then I guess it could be considered Halloween too.  Anyways, I used two images from Punkin Patch 2 (the boy and the corn).  I've linked you to the combo pack so you can get both the black & white AND coloured images.

So why not enter the challenge? And be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has made.

Congrats House - Fab Friday @ Tiddly Inks

Hmmmmm.....what day is it? Oh yeah, it's Friday! Time for a Tiddly Inks make!

And here it is....

I used the TownHome digi which, not only comes with this sentiment stamp (and since it's a digi I was able to resize it bigger and make it into a main image), it comes with three more AND the house you see here but without the "congrats".  And all for the super low price of $2.00.  Does it get any better?!?!

Make sure you go check out the other fabulous Fabby Friday makes the rest of the DT has come up with.  You can see 'em right here.

It's All About the Boys @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

we're all about snips and snails and puppy dog tails. Yeppers, we want to see those masculine projects!

I know some crafters have a hard time with boy-y/man-y cards but I've always found them fairly easy. This is what I did....

Digi is from A Day for Daisies.  And really, frogs do scream boys, don't they?  Well, not literally, obviously.  Though I'm sure some of them would if they could.  'Round here my boys were never into frogs or creepy-crawlies, in fact my middlest (12 years old) will call me if there's a bug that needs disposed of, (both in the never to return way and the relocate to a more suitable habitat way).  However, my daughter used to looooooooooooooove toads.  If she found one she'd spend a good hour torturing it petting it and talking to it and showing it all her toys etc.  So, I'm pretty sure there's been a few toads 'round these parts that have internally screamed "girls" now and again.

Ah, I see my twine is being a bit unruly.  I shall glue it down into submission....kinda the cardmaker equivalent of licking a thumb and trying to straighten a child's misbehaving cowlick.  Not that I ever used that tactic with my chicklets.  Seeing as I was on the end of multiple spit baths growing up I vowed I would never, ever do that to my kids.  No, I was much more sanitary.  I used to say, "Stick out your tongue" and then I would use their own saliva to wipe their faces.

So why not whip up something masculine and join us for our challenge?  Then you can head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up.  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.
