Leftovers! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

I'm hoping everyone is safe & well and coping okay if you are self-isolating, social/physical distancing, in lock down or if you've been laid off. Kudos to all those businesses who are taking care of their employees by offering full wages during shut downs/staff reductions, those celebrities/performers who are doing things from their home to help entertain us while we stay home, and all those people who are out there working in essential services, from the grocery store clerks right up to health care workers/first responders.  And, of course, to all the scrapbook stores and stamp companies who are really looking after us crafters by offering free or reduced shipping, offering to door drop ordered supplies, online classes etc.  Thank you.  These are tough times but we will get through it.

So, (again) this week at LRW, it's Imke's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Leftovers!" which just means that she wants to see projects with those bits and bobs that weren't used on this make or that. We all have those laying around, right?

This is what I did.....

I used a scrap bit of script patterned paper which I printed some clipart butterflies on and the die cut birthday was to originally go on a different card but it didn't look right.  Looks okay here though, I think.  Birthday die cut is from Stamplorations and the happy is from Paper Smooches.

Coffee, Tea or Water? @ Little Red Wagon

it's Kate's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Coffee, Tea or Water?" which just means that she wants to see a beverage on your project. *slurp* Ah!

This is what I did.....

I've got me a freebie digi from Neat & Tangled with a mug of white hot chocolate.  Why is it white hot chocolate?  Well, it's not because I didn't want to mess up a perfectly good monochromatic theme by colouring the contents of the mug brown......no, it's definitely not that.  (Okay, it's mostly that.)  Buuuuut, I do have a tip for any of you who are fans of white hot chocolate and frequent a Tim Hortons.  Next time you're there, order a white hot chocolate with a peppermint tea bag in it.

Hey, don't make that face.  I know it sounds slightly yick.  I admit, I made that face when I was first told about it.  But, seriously, give it a try.  It is DELICIOUS.

it's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Etc. Etc. Etc." which just means she wants to see three of something. What a clever title for that, eh?

This is what I did.....

Went all kinds of masculine with this using a Make It Crafty digi.....which is, sadly, from yet another closed shop. *sigh*  As you can see, I used three different patterned papers as well as three different colours for my colouring (as long as you ignore the flesh tone.....and that tiny bit of yellow on the belt buckle).  I really wanted to go with a three letter sentiment too but I didn't figure I'd ever need a card that read "dud".  Besides, dude is one of my favourite words.  Using it can bring gravity to a situation without sounding too intense, kwim?  And, you can have an entire conversation using just "dude".

Person 1:  Dude!  *gestures at surroundings*
Person 2:  Dude?  *puzzled expression*
Person 1:  Dude.  *points at various messes*
Person 2:  *gets up and pulls a PS4 controller out from under a pile of clothes*  Duude?  *wiggles and extends remote*
Person 1:  *sighs and takes remote*

Ten seconds later.....

Person 1 & Person 2:  DUUUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDE!!  *while high fiving as they (I dunno, insert some video game win here.  It took me over a year to stop calling my son's PS4 an Xbox so I'll admit to knowing nothing about gaming culture.)

Tie One On! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's my turn to choose the challenge and I'm saying, "Tie One On!" which just means that I would like to see projects with ribbon, twine, string or the like....anything that can be tied. That's knot too hard, right? haaaahahahahahaha

This is what I did.....

As you can see, I've got some twine on there.  I've also used a stamp from Stamplorations that has a ribbon (I stamped an extra one so I could pop it up for some dimension) so I can be an extra good DTer.  Little disappointed with the photo of this.  My colouring job looks better irl, the red is much more blended....but you get the idea.  Oh, and the lil tag is from LOTV.
