Layers! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Imke's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Layered!" which means she wants to see those stacked projects.

This is what I did....

Counting from the red and white striped patterned paper up to the enamel dots on the wooden snowflakes, it's seven layers.  I know, I know, if you wanna get real picky about it, none of those enamel dots are over the piece of green patterned paper, so technically, one could argue that it's really only five layers.  But, since this is my blog, I automatically win all arguments, so 😝.

Digi is from Mo's Digital Pencil.

Women! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Kate's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Women!", which is a Def Leppard song I'm not actually familiar with.....let me ask the All Knowing Google.....nope, seems like this one got by me.  But, in looking into this I saw that Def Leppard is doing a show in Canada, in Toronto (of course)....let's see....just for fun let's click on Best Tickets.....okay, $1798.80 a ticket for Pit B.  Alrighty then.  I think you'd have to pay me $1798.80 to get me in a mosh pit.  Although, I am amusing myself thinking about me harshing everyone's vibe by standing there, completely unimpressed, rbf in full force, arms crossed, not at all rocking out to the music.  Well, until "Let's Get Rocked" came on.  Then I'd be totally stoked and owning the place.  I'm picturing kinda like this....

Anyhoo.....this is what I did....

I used one of my very favourite Tiddly Inks digis.  I think I've coloured this one at least once every Christmas for the past at least eight years.

Planes, Trains or Automobiles! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Planes, Trains or Automobiles!" which means she wants to see those projects that include some form of transportation.

This is what I did...

A little tip for you (that you might already know but I'm gonna mention it anyway), do you know that SVG files, in this case for a Silhouette machine, can be used a digi images?  That's exactly what I did with the airplane image for this card.  I did cut it out once, yeeeeeears ago, there'll even be a blog post about it....but forgive me if I don't do a deep dive to find it to link.  I do remember this though, all the little fiddly black lines made it a b#$ch to cut out.  That's why I didn't even attempt it this time.  I just opened the design, used the Fill tool and filled the design in black and then opened Fill Style and changed the line colour to black. Then it was just a matter of printing it out.  Easy peasy!

So Cute! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's yours truly's turn to choose the challenge and I'm saying, "So Cute!" which means I want to see those cute creations.

This is what I did.....

Isn't this digi just the cutest?!?!  It's from Melonheadz Illustrating.  Nikki has some of the most adorable digis ever, her images have always been a favourite of mine.  I even used a couple of cute fonts.  Hmmm.....just wondering why the bottom right corner looks blurry.  Since there's nothing there but a couple of  Your Next Stamp's Gumdrops (which I also love), I don't think a photo retake is necessary.

I debated adding Glossy Accents so it would look like the glasses had lenses but I decided not to.  My bottle is getting fairly old, and I've found Glossy Accents can turn yellow when they're years old.  Not a complaint, just an observation.  (:
