Christmas In July! @ Little Red Wagon

I know I've been feeding you all a pretty steady diet of Christmas cards here at Huh.  So This Is a Blog.  Truth be told, I don't generally make cards other than the ones I make for LRW.  And, since the cards I need most of are Christmas cards....well, then it's Christmas cards you see here pretty much all year 'round.

So, this is what I did....

Two Steps Behind! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Kate's turn to choose the challenge and she's continuing through the discography of Def Leppard and she's saying, "Two Steps Behind!" which means she wants to see those step cards or other cards of unique design.

I decided to try a type of card I've never made before and here's the outside....

Really not much going on there.  Here's the inside....

I don't feel like I quite hit the mark with this one.  The "steps" are too wide (or the stamps are too small) and, when it takes as much time as this took to make, I want to love it when I'm done, kwim?  Can't say as I do.  Still, it's another Christmas card for the stash, so it's not all a loss.

Use Your Scraps! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Use Your Scraps!" which is very timely for me because I just found out (or remembered, I guess) that have two scrap baskets, in two different spots, when I thought I only had one!  Whoops!

But, at least that meant I had a lot of scraps to choose from.  So, this is what I did....

It's pretty much all from the scrap baskets, except for the googly eyes.  No stamps on this one either.

Something You Love! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's my turn to choose the challenge and I'm gonna go easy on you.  The challenge is "Something You Love!" so it could be that you used your favourite colours, a technique you love doing, supplies you love, an occasion you love, a make for someone you love......it's pretty wide open really!

This is what I did....

Let's see....what do I love on there....digis to start, and colouring them with Prismacolor pencils, bright/bold colours, whimsical images, patterned paper....yep, looks like I got the love part covered.  Oh, wait.  There is one more thing.  I love that this card reminds me of a clip from the show Community, that I've always loved because it make me chuckle everytime....

Light Up the Sky! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Chrissy's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Light Up the Sky!" which mean she wants to see those creations that feature the night sky......and she's also saying she would rather have your night sky be made with ink......and, well.....I definitely missed that part of the challenge criteria.  Whoopsie.

So, this is what I did....

As you can see, I've got lots of bright stars on there but it's all patterned paper, no inking to be found.  I suppose I could try and cheat and claim I stamped all those stars on white paper and see if I could get away with it.....oops too late now.  (:
