Monster Mash! @ Little Red Wagon

This is what I did....

Digi is from DigiStamp Boutique. It's s/he fun? He's perfect for that teen boy crowd, I'm thinking.

This card was very much inspired by the always lovely, Lauren Bergold.  She makes the bestest, most funnest monster cards, especially monsta Christmas cards.  You should really take a boo at them.  (Haha, see what I did there.)

Unicorns & Rainbows @ Little Red Wagon

This is what I did.....

Meh. Not all kinds of thrilled about this.  It just feels, I dunno, lacking.....or flat, kwim?  I did get to play with some new dies though, so that was fun.  Fitting the coloured cardstock into all those spaces was quite satisfying, so that was good too.  I've always said that, for me, crafting is so much more about the process than the end result....but I do enjoy it way more if I'm happy with that end result!

Sunflowery Hello - Fab Friday @ Tiddly Inks

It's Fab Friday time...kick off to the first long weekend of the summer (here in Canada anyways). Long weekends aren't that thrilling for me....I've always got to work on the Monday and on either the Saturday or the Sunday (and sometimes I shake it up and work part of the day Saturday and part of the day Sunday, ooooooh). The Daughter, Middlest and I will probably do some clothes shopping on Sunday (since the temps have shot up into the high 20s and they both "need shorts!") and after I drop The Daughter off at her friend's for a sleepover, Middlest and I are gonna see a movie. So, nothing May 2-4 Weekend worthy, but shopping and a movie is a-okay by me.

Oh, and I might do a bit of gardening/flower bed work. We'll see what the weather is like. I'm not a huge gardener, so I'm pretty good at procrastinating when it comes to it. It's quite often too windy or too cold or too sunny or too hot 'round here. But, if I had a garden like this....

...with instant sunflowers and this cutie frolicking in it, I might be less likely to make poor excuses.  This image is from the new Everyday Whimsy colouring book.  I just sized it at 4 x 6 and onto a card it went!  Love all the new scenes, they're super cute!

You Are My Sunshine @ Little Red Wagon

This is what I did.....

I used a freebie sentiment from Bross Art Addiction. I was originally going to do something very sunny and springy but with the biblical amount of rainfall we got earlier this month I just couldn't get in the mood to make something like that. Still, there is a sun on my card....even if it's just a tiny sliver of it peeking out behind the clouds.

Yeah...I'm a little disappointed with my pun game. Pretty basic, especially for someone who loves pun.  I'm hoping the cute factor of this digi from 2 Cute Ink makes up for it.

Celebrate Anything! @ Little Red Wagon

it's Mandy's turn to choose the challenge and she's going super easy on us. The challenge is "Celebrate Anything!" which means just about anything goes! No excuse not to join us this week!

I went a bit unconventional with what I'm celebrating....

Rather than an occasion or event I'm celebrating friendship.  Because it deserves to be celebrated for sure, doesn't it?  Think on it a moment.....life would definitely suck without friendships.  Plus I really wanted to colour up this cute little owl from Skapar Kallarn and I thought it would be perfect for a general friendship card.

On to my card....

Not sure why I couldn't get a brighter photo of this.  I tried a couple of different locations and settings with no luck.  Anyhoo, I used a past freebie, so no link for you coz it was from well in the past.....just goes to show you've got to snag those stamps and freebies when you see 'em coz you never know when they'll be gone!

Found my mojo has been lacking as of late so this was my second attempt at this challenge....though I do like how this turned out.  Hope my mojo comes back....I just HATE it when it's gone, makes me grumpy, it does.  And, I have such limited time to craft, it's a bugger when I have to abandon or trash projects.....or just sit at my desk and sullenly nudge at my craft supplies, like a kid being told "no dessert until you eat those Brussels sprouts" (though why anyone would be that mean is beyond me) waiting for inspiration to strike.  Oh well, it'll come back, it always does.....this isn't the first time this has happened.  And when it does come slinking back, this'll be me....

and this'll be it.....

but we'll be reunited and that's all that counts.
