Make It With Ribbon! @ Little Red Wagon

 This week at

it's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Make It With Ribbon!" which means she'd like to see those projects that have ribbon.

I used to use ribbon aaaaaaallllllllll the time.  And I used to fuss and frimp and fuss some more about tying the bow just right, having the tension just so....and trying to make it look perfect.  But, I've discovered, ribbon does not want to look perfect.  Ribbon just wants to look how it wants to look.

Lately, I don't use ribbon all that much.  My style has shifted to what refer to as 'clean & layered'.  So, ribbon isn't something I reach for very often.  I contemplated doing something fun and/or different for incorporating ribbon into a project.....but I just ended up doing my same ol', same ol'.

And here it is......

Huh.  There appears to be a bit of yellow cast on the right side of the image.  I hope you don't mind just ignoring it, please and thank you.  (That's lazy-person speak for "I don't want to take another picture, re-edit and re-upload".  (: )  Now, despite what I was saying above, I got this ribbon tied perfectly on the very first try.  So much so, that I actually started fiddling with it, as I couldn't believe that actually happened, before I made myself snatch my hands away.  Maybe this is a sign I should use ribbon more often!

Digi is from Mo's Digital Pencil.

Seeing Spots/Stripes! @ Little Red Wagon

 This week at

it's my turn to choose the challenge and I'm going with, "Seeing Spots/Stripes!" which just means that I want to see spots or stripes or both on your creations.

This is what I did.....

As you can see, lots of spots and stripes on there.  There's also a reindeer who has been into the bubbly.  Gotta love this play on words.  So much so that I don't know why I haven't used this digi before.  It's from Bugaboo Stamps.  Still very sad that Jodi has closed the shop.  ):  Tag digi is from LOTV.

I'm Bats About You! @ Little Red Wagon

 This week at

it's Doni's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "I'm Bats About You!" which just means that she would like to see a bat on your project.

This is what I did.....

I didn't have any bats digis or the like so I made this graphic in Canva and printed it directly on a card front.  My printer is such a diva....it's really didn't print this well at all.  Here's the original graphic.....
As you can see, there's various shades of black and the font is kinda cool.  I didn't bother to reprimand my printer though.  Along with being a diva, it's also not above holding a grudge.  So I just cast dirty looks at it when it's in standby mode.

So, why not give our challenge a go this week and join us?  And, if you'd like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.

Spooky Halloween! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Chrissy's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Spooky Halloween!" which just means that she would like to see those Halloween creations.

Ah, Halloween, not my favourite occasion....which is surprising since I'm a junk food connoisseur.  I mean, everyone knows that the mini chocolate bars taste so much better than their full-sized siblings.  Except for Peanut M&Ms, of course.  Well, technically, they are the exact same candy as every other package of Peanut M&Ms, but seeing as you only get, like, five candies in the Halloween version, they taste like they're flavoured with emptiness and a generous seasoning of sadness.

So, seeing as I'm not a fan of Halloween, I didn't actually do a Halloween card.  In fact, I didn't actually do a card.  Well, it's kinda a card.  Here, take a look......

....I did an ATC, in a style I like to refer to as Halloween adjacent.  Digi is from A Day For Daisies.  See that swirly flourish behind/beside the skull?  I used an ancient rub-on that actually transferred super-duper easy.  I was very impressed.  Some patterned paper, letter stickers and distressing and that was that.
