Anyhoo, I'm again going on about something that has nothing to do with my card! I'm gonna show it now.....and then I'll go on about it after.
Yeppers, it's another Christmas card. And I used an image from the Inky Critters digis again this week! I really must make a card with the bear, then I'll have shown you the whole set!
That's a slightly different sentiment, eh? See those word stickers? I really love 'em, I do. Thing is, they're much more suited for scrapbooking then cardmaking. There's a lot of words like "together" and "perfect moment" and "memories" etc. Not very much in the way of sentiments for cards. So, since I used the word "Merry" on my card last week (and it turned out it was the only one), the "Merry & Bright" I had originally planned on was impossible. I could have done "Hello Winter", which would have worked perfectly with this super cute snowman, but it was the wrong colour. Luckily, "Wishes" was the same colour as the "Bright" so I thought, "Hey, why not?" And a brand new (to me) Christmas sentiment was born.
Make sure you go check out the other fabulous Fabby Friday makes the rest of the DT has come up with. You can see 'em all right here.

ha! yes! the great "sentiment shuffle" when you realize the word you need... (or the last letter of the kid's name, lol) ...does not exist and you have to THINK AGAIN. actually, some of my best titles & sentiments have been conceived in that creative panic, and you've done brilliantly here! BRIGHT WISHES is quite awesome, as it happens, i expect to see hallmark ripping it off at any moment!!!
ReplyDeleteps: when you come round to see the card with the liquid metals, can you color in front of me in hopes i will pick up some tips??! kthx... :)
Why not indeed? It feels so good to be thrifty, doesn't it?! Great card and the sentiment(s) look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHe's a cutie and I love the texture of your paper. It makes the coloring look so cool. The puffy sentiment is fun. Hugs!
