Aw, Man! @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's my turn to choose the challenge and I'm saying, "Aw, Man!" which just means that I want to see those masculine projects. Now that's going easy on you, isn't it?

This is what I did.....

I used a digi from Le Petite Market (LOVE this artist's images!) and the sentiment is just computer generated.  Made this for my oldest's birthday (19 next week.....I can hardly believe it!!).  He's currently in college taking an arborist program so I thought this was especially fitting.

*grumble* Now that I get looking at this on the screen I definitely should have rotated that back background paper.  It's one of those pieces of patterned paper where the text goes all different ways but it seems to be that the text that's showing makes it look like I put it on sideways.  Anyone want to take bets on whether or not I pull it apart to rotate it?  I don't even know which outcome I'd wager on.  (:

Why don't you give our challenge a go this week and head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up.  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the fabulous projects the other Girlfriends have created.

Aud Sentiments:  anything goes + sentiment
Simon Says:  anything goes
The Sisterhood of Crafters:  newly required stash - New digi and new papers
Ike's World:  M is for male
Incy Wincy:  anything goes

  1. I like this image - perfect for a man. That happens with the paper. As you said, the writing goes in all directions, so you can leave it at that. If it were my card, I would change it anyway :-)

  3. Happy Birthday to your oldest! Hmmm...well, yep, the background paper does look as if it's in one direction, but, I would NOT have noticed that unless you mentioned it. It's still a great card and I love the image, your coloring and paper choices (great paper, no matter what). Personally, I'd vote for leaving it as it is. After all, it's these kind of things that make our hand crafted cards human and unique!!!

  4. Well - I would leave the backing paper alone just in case you completely mess up the card.
This card is fabulous and I love that image :-D

  7. I don't think you need to pull it apart at all! There is enough of the right side up words on the designer paper to show it wasn't a mistake! Love your manly card, especially the sentiment! Thanks for sharing it with the Sisterhood of Crafters "newly acquired stash" challenge this week!

  9. Such a great image - and perfect for the challenge! And, for what's it's worth, the paper could really go any direction so all's good!

Okay, so ever since I started my blog (well, maybe not right from the get-go, it was probably a good six months or so before I realized you could change it from just "Leave your comment") I've tried to come up with something witty to type here.

*sitting with brow furrowed in concentration*...*staring at the ceiling while pursing lips*...*resting with head on hand while tapping foot*...

Nope, I still got nothing.
