This week at
Okay, I need to tell you a bit about how this challenge theme came about. As many of you will know, when you're part of a challenge blog, challenge themes are often set weeks in advance, that way DT Members can work ahead if they choose. I have the challenges in an Excel file so I can better keep track of them. I am a rampant keep-every-tab-I've-ever-opened open, so the Excel file is often just floating around open on the computer. When I went to fill in the my last few challenge themes for the year, I noticed that last week's challenge was already filled in with the following:
make the best hockey card ever. Obviously, my middlest had spied the file and decided to add his own theme. I shared this with The Girlfriends, and Brenda thought it was pretty darn cute and funny so she decided to go with it for this week's challenge. She's extending it to any sport, so you don't need to stick with hockey. Score!
This is what I did....
I made four mini cards with a sports theme. I used a very old Unity Stamp set that I bought about ten years ago.
Why not give our challenge a go this week and head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up? And, while you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

I've been trying to pick a favorite from your four mini cards....not possible...they're all great!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Doni...they're all great! Couldn't choose a favorite. And phooey, I just missed this one by a day. I posted a sports card on Monday, it would have been perfect.
ReplyDeleteLOVE, love, love these cards! (and thanks for telling the story) I've changed my mind, you and Kate both have the "best hockey card ever"! Tell Middlest thanks for the great challenge idea!
ReplyDeleteHi Jan
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely card collection .. .. love them all!
Pleased I am not the only one that has lots of computer windows open. Always been guilty of that as I often need to jump from one screen to another.
Have a good day.
Love Jules xx
What a fun selection of cards x
ReplyDeleteI hope you've let Middlest know that we took him up on his fabulous idea!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun set of cards! Perhaps it's the green, but I'm pretty sure that your hockey card is the best of the set!!
