This week at
it's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Old MacDonald's Farm!" which just means that she would like to see projects with farm animals. E-i-e-i-o (:
Okay, so I did a thing. Because once this idea jumped into my head it wouldn't stop insisting I do it. And, it was so darn persistent. I tried to reason with it....I told it that there'd probably be a lot of people that wouldn't even get it. Idea didn't care. I told it that it was probably not as funny as it thought it was. Idea still didn't care. I told it that I would probably never be able to use the card to give to someone. Idea gestured to all the different spots in my craft corner where there are scads of cards just sitting collecting dust. I had to admit, that was a pretty good point.
So, this is what I did......
So, yeah. And, just so you're aware, this is where the inspiration came from, not the actual actual song....
Coz, really, why not? (: (Edited to add: Just to note.....apparently the first chorus is "things are gonna get easier" while the second chorus is "things are gonna be easier". Kinda wishing I went with the get instead.....)
Why not give our challenge at go this week and join us? And, if you'd like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.

Hihihihihihihi...I got it and it cracked me up! I liked the Guardian of the Galaxy clip, too. I adore those films (the first one was the best). They are so funny and gotta love the music, too. Now, on to your card...gotta love that as well. In addition to your oh-so-clever-don't-argue-with-a-good-idea sentiment, I like how you've colored your image and the bright paper backgrounds that set it off oh so well. Is that a barbed wire die cut, too? That is just excellent. Great card! Glad you listened to your idea; it was right!
ReplyDeleteI love your card! I'm glad you stuck with 'the idea'. x
