Cards That Are Hard to Make @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying she wants to see those cards that are hard to make....like sympathy, sorry, etc.  Great chance to add those cards to your stash so you don't have to make one when you actually need it.

This is what I did....

I went with a sympathy card.  I always find it really sucks to have to make a sympathy card when you need it, so I always have a couple in my stash.  I tend to keep my sympathy makes fairly muted and plain.  Not that a sympathy card has to be.  I've seen some lovely ones that are very colourful, but that's not something I find I can do with these types of cards.  And, since they are almost always going in the mail, I tend to leave off embellishments too.

That flower layer is a digi stamp from Artherapie.

So, why not give our challenge a go this week and join us?  And, if you'd like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.

  3. Perfect sympathy card, Jan! And I'm with you, I prefer muted colors on these type of cards.

  4. It's beautiful, Jan. I'm the opposite of you, though. Despite them being difficult to make, I do so when needed so I can specifically think of the recipient during the creation. Thanks for joining us at 613 Avenue Create. I hope we see you on the front porch again soon!

  6. Beautiful card, Jan. I tend to go fairly simple with colours on my sympathy creations too. Your background flowers are perfect for the job!

  7. This is beautiful. I like to have a couple stashed, because Iʻm like you and tend to use the same recipe on all of them I make.

Okay, so ever since I started my blog (well, maybe not right from the get-go, it was probably a good six months or so before I realized you could change it from just "Leave your comment") I've tried to come up with something witty to type here.

*sitting with brow furrowed in concentration*...*staring at the ceiling while pursing lips*...*resting with head on hand while tapping foot*...

Nope, I still got nothing.
