This week at
it's Brenda's turn to choose the challenge and she's saying, "Let's Eat!" which means she wants to see food on you project.
I went a little different with this one.....
Yes, while there's definitely food on there, I don't think it's the kind you'd want to eat. I mean, I imagine it would be tough eating, after all reindeer spend so much time training so they can pull Santa's sleigh.......hahahahaha, sorry couldn't resist doing that. (: Of course the food on there is the popcorn/cranberry garland. Which, I'm also thinking you wouldn't want to eat. Do people actually use this type of decoration or is that just in books/movies? Can't say I've ever seen it or have done it myself. I'm sure my two cats would appreciate it. Both are typical cat picky eaters but they both like popcorn for some reason. Would not put it past either one to nibble away at popcorn garland.
Garland is a digi from Melonheadz Illustrating, and reindeer are Mama Elephant.
Why not give our challenge a go this week and join us? And, if you'd like more inspiration, be sure to check out what the Girlfriends have made.

How cute, and a great take on the "Let's eat" theme. I spent a lot of time stringing popcorn with my kids, while they ate more than ended up on the tree! Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble.
ReplyDeleteFabulous fun card Jan, love the kraft and red and cute deer..

This is such a cute card, Jan! Love the edible garland that frames your sentiment perfectly. Those two deer are awfully sweet, too. You know, when I was a kid, I tried to string popcorn a few times. It was dang hard to do. The popcorn would crack and not stay on the string and I ended up poking myself with the needle. I never succeeded in making too long a garland.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!! I did try making a garland like this many years ago when my boys were young. Don 't recall our cat being interested :-) I love your sparkly big sentiment, too. Thank you so much for joining the challenge at Allsorts this week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun front to your card Jan, - lots of 'edibles' as long as you are happy to try something 'out of the box'. , and great use of the digi image popcorn, and cute wee reindeer
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this with us at We Love Stamping this month, and using the theme

Reindeers are sooo cute, and using the bell banners against the kraft background is perfect... love the large glittering sentiment. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Double Trouble.
ReplyDeleteVery clever (so what else is new?), very darling card, Janice. I remember stringing popcorn and cranberries back in the old days at school. Doubt my mom would have gone for that at home.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a clever take on the challenge!! And so cute too! Great card!
ReplyDeleteI remember stringing some popcorn with the kids back when they were little - just one year though. And there were no cranberries. I think the number of popped kernels in our bellies outnumbered those on the string.
Very cute card! Love your adorable reindeer. No popcorn garland for me, we celebrate our christmas a bit different over here in the Netherlands, so that is a thing I have never seen. ;) Thanks for joining us at the Ayli challenge!
ReplyDeleteLovely card, thanks for sharing with us @ Cutie Pies.
