In Sympathy @ Little Red Wagon

This week at

it's my turn to chose the challenge and I went with a toughie.....yep, I want to see those sympathy makes. Hey, I know they're no fun to create, but isn't it so much better to have them in your stash rather than having to specifically make one up when needed? I know I hate doing that!

This is what I did....

I like to make fairly traditional sympathy cards.....would love if I could find a design I really like and just sit down and mass produce a bunch.  You could do that with this one....but it's got enough layers to not make it very mail-friendly.  And, as you know, being able to get it easily into an envelope, and mailed with one regular stamp is a pretty big necessity when it comes to this type of card.

Why not add a sympathy card to your stash and then head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up.  And, while you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

  2. Yes, they're tough to make, but you did a great job on this one. It is creatively elegant and yet sober, as befits the occasion. I also like how you've used this die by gluing two cuts together – very smart.

  4. I just love the creamy colors on this, along with those pretty fonts and great stem. It's peaceful and serene - just what you're looking for in a sympathy card!

  5. This is such a gorgeous, classy card, love that sentiment. Thanks for this challenge. I feel the way you do, when I need one, I usually am not in a good place to make one.

  6. Your card is beautiful! It's very striking with the black and off-white combination.

When you figure out a design to mass produce, please let me know! I really do struggle with sympathy cards...

Okay, so ever since I started my blog (well, maybe not right from the get-go, it was probably a good six months or so before I realized you could change it from just "Leave your comment") I've tried to come up with something witty to type here.

*sitting with brow furrowed in concentration*...*staring at the ceiling while pursing lips*...*resting with head on hand while tapping foot*...

Nope, I still got nothing.
